Angel Island Fun Park is an amazing indoor play center that now has two locations in the triangle. It has SO much to offer and is super nice and clean! It’s a great place to play with the cold, rainy weather we’ve been having lately!

Entrance and Seating Area

Upon entering you are greeted by a nice seating area for adults and kids who need a snack. There is also a cubby area for your shoes and belongings. Gripper Socks must be worn at all times for cleanliness and to prevent slipping, so bring your own or buy some there for $2.

This place takes cleanliness VERY seriously and shoes are not allowed anywhere but in the seating area. The only downfall to this is that you must take your shoes off in order to walk back to the bathroom, but then they offer rubber sandals for you to wear in the bathroom so your socks don’t get dirty.

So let’s just say if you get everyone’s shoes back on to leave and then suddenly have to make a bathroom break, you have to take all shoes off again to get back to the bathroom (not that I know from experience or anything… 🙄) .

Soft Play Area

The main play area is covered by a soft padding, so it’s perfect for little explorers! They have so many attractions your kids will be entertained for hours! My 2 year old did great in this play area, and I was able to sit back and relax (for the most part)!

Carousel Swing and Bicycle Merry-Go-Round

(carousel vs. merry-go-round vs. roundabout… whatever you want to call it! I didn’t know this could be debated until recently! 😂)

One of the cutest things I saw was the carousel swing. It continuously spins in a circle and the kids can hop on for a ride! I wanted to get on it myself, but I wasn’t sure about the weight limit!

Another popular ride was the bicycle merry-go-round. There were always kids on that thing, but unfortunately most of them couldn’t actually pedal hard enough to make it move. The parents were usually the ones pushing them in circles, but it was still tons of fun! I actually hopped on and was able to pedal the kids in a circle and they loved it!

Giant Ball Pit

This place also has the biggest ball pit I’ve seen in a LONG time! It was a blast from the past when every McDonald’s play place used to have one of these babies! The kids loved it and they spent most of their time in here throwing, scooping, and jumping in the balls. It didn’t hurt that there were swings and slides and other climbing obstacles for them to play on as well. I loved that I didn’t have to worry about them falling and hurting themselves, because the balls broke their fall!

Climbing Structure

If your kid is into climbing, there’s also a giant climbing structure for them to wander through. It’s not 4 stories tall like Galaxy Fun Park in Wake Forest, but it covers about half of the room and contains nets, slides, and trampolines. I actually liked that it was only 2 levels high, because it was easier to rescue my 2 year old when he inevitably got stuck and needed help.

Angel Island Fun Park has maximized their use of space, and they have a lot space to use! Underneath the climbing structure they have set up swings and hanging bags, so there’s no need to fight over swings because there are plenty to play on!

This underneath area also doubles as tunnels for the kids to run through. This place is jam-packed with fun!

Trampolines and Foam Pit

If your kid loves to jump, look no further than the trampoline area! There are 7 trampolines for the kids to jump to their heart’s content, and they can dive in the foam pit for extra fun!

Velcro Wall

By far my favorite attraction was the Velcro wall! There were 5 suits for kids to use to make them stick to the wall above the trampoline. I loved the Velcro wall as a kid, but usually you only see them on an inflatable where you have to wait your turn and can only stick for a few seconds before you have to let the next kid in line have their fun. Here we were able to have unlimited Velcro wall fun! I mean, do I actually have to get them down or can they stick up there all night? 🤣

Can I just leave her up there?

Admission and Birthday Parties

While we REALLY enjoyed our time at Angel Island Fun Park, I do have to say it’s more expensive than most places in the area. Having 3 kids of my own to pay admission for, I usually try to keep our activities at or below $10 per person and this was more than that. They do have monthly memberships to try and save you some money, but I still thought it was a little high. Although, I think this is the most extensive indoor play area I’ve been to in the triangle, other than Marbles, so I’d say it’s definitely worth a visit anyway!

You can also book your next birthday party here, and they offer discounts if you have been a member for at least 3 months. We’ll definitely be adding this spot to our list of Birthday Party locations for kids!
