BounceU is an indoor inflatable bounce house located in Apex! They have two rooms of inflatable, bouncy fun, including giant slides, obstacle courses, and climbing challenges! Scroll to the bottom of this page to see the 2020 pandemic policies and precautions.

Safety Rules

When you arrive at BounceU your whole group must watch a short safety video explaining the rules. This covers the typical rules like no shoes on the inflatables, no flipping, no food or drink in the bounce room, etc. It was a good reminder to my kids on how to jump safely!

Party Room 1

Party room 1 consisted of a giant obstacle course, triple slide, air-powered ball shooter, and a vertical climb challenge. It was a lot like American Ninja Warrior where you have to try to run as far up the wall as possible and place a Velcro marker to see how high you got. My older girls spent a lot of time here once they figured out what they were supposed to do. It was a fun little contest and even mom got in on the action!

Side note: There were signs everywhere that adults weren’t allowed on the inflatables, but the attendant let me know that it was ok if mom played too. I’m guessing that typically they wouldn’t want adults on there with the kids for safety purposes, but since it was a private playdate with just my kids it was ok. I actually ended up trying out all of the inflatables and it was so much fun to keep up with the kids!

My two year old son spent most of his time at the ball shooter. It was easy for him to place the balls himself and push the button to shoot them. He did this over and over until we switched rooms!

Party Room 2

Party Room 2 included a hopping obstacle challenge, similar to what you would see on TV shows like Wipeout. The goal was to hop across each ball and get to the other side without falling off. My 4 and 5 year old made it successfully by jumping to each ball one at a time. The attendant instructed that adults should just make a running leap at it. We’ll just say that this mama tried but didn’t make it across! 😂

There was also a twist on the traditional inflatable slide. This one had three different ways to climb up, but each one had a different difficulty. My 5 and 4 year old were determined to make it up the entrance on the far right with barely any handholds, and by the time we left they had mastered it! I was so proud!

In addition to those, there was also an inflatable game, basketball hoop, traditional slide, and the cliff jump! I didn’t think my kids would brave the high jump onto the inflatable below, but my 5 and 4 year old leaped right off without batting an eye! My 2 year climbed to the top and just came right back down. 😂 I actually did the cliff jump as well, although I was more scared than I thought I would be! My biggest fear was that the inflatable wouldn’t hold a grown up jumping from that height, but I made it out unscathed!

2020 Pandemic Policies

During the COVID-19 pandemic, they are currently offering one-hour private playdates for 5 kids for $59, which comes out to $10 per child. You must book your hour online in advance on the website. Grab your pod and bounce on over for this safe way to play!

Masks are required when checking in, but not once you enter the bounce room since you are the only group in there. Your group will be given 30 minutes in one room and 30 minutes in the next room. They are disinfecting the inflatables between groups. Rotating rooms worked out perfectly for my kids because we switched right when they started getting a little bored in the first room. An hour was also plenty of time because the kids were tired, sweaty, and hungry by the end!

I’m so glad to find another bounce house in the Raleigh area. Unfortunately, many of them closed a few years ago so now we are left with BounceU in Apex, Pump it Up in Brier Creek, and Bungalow Bounce in Clayton. You can find the one closest to you on the Raleigh Tot Spots map at www.raleightotspots.com/park-map. Happy Bouncing!
