Raleigh used to have a TON of bounce houses to choose from, but the past few years have brought about a mass exodus and there are suddenly none in town! My kids used to love going to bounce houses so we made the trek out to Clayton to visit Bungalow Bounce! It’s now the closest bounce house I know of in the area. It was about 25 minutes from our home in Northeast Raleigh, so definitely doable if you’re looking for a fun outing!
The Inflatables
Bungalow Bounce has 5 inflatables for the kids to jump on. There is a giant slide, a traditional bounce house, a small obstacle course with slide, a flat inflatable for the younger kids, and a large obstacle course. While we were there the large obstacle course was closed for repair, but the kids still had plenty to do! I was also able to get on all of the inflatables with them, which came in handy many times!
Socks are required but if you forget you can buy some for $2 a pair. If you’re like me and also forget all of your snacks at home, you can buy items like goldfish and chips at the front desk for around $.75-$1.00 . No food or drinks are allowed in the play area but you can eat in the party room or lobby.
Baby Play Area
I also love that they have a separate baby area for the 3 and under crowd. There were a couple small climbing structures, a soft mat play area with ball pit, a play house, and lots of baby toys. It was a perfect spot for my one year old since he couldn’t really do the inflatables. All of the kids loved the ball pit as well! Too bad those don’t exist on the larger scale anymore!
The Arcade
If you have any gamers in the family, or just kids who like flashing lights, you will definitely spend some time over at the arcade games. We didn’t pay for any games, but my kids loved pretending and pushing all of the buttons. All of the games were under $1, so not terrible. Definitely cheaper than the arcade games at Galaxy Fun Park!
The Party Room
The first thing I noticed when walking in was the great sized party room available! The setup is perfect for a birthday party or other event! The bathroom is actually off of this room, which makes it convenient, but I’m not sure how it would work during a party.
Admission prices were also pretty reasonable in my opinion. Children age 3-11 can play for $7 and toddlers aged 2 and under get in for $2. I like that they have the age cutoff at 11 because that means you can bring the babies and they won’t get trampled by older kids.
You can get more information at their website. It looks like they periodically offer parents night out programs, but I didn’t see any on the calendar at the time of this post.
If you’re looking for a bounce house like the ones we used to have all over Raleigh, definitely make the drive to Bungalow Bounce! They’re open from 10-6pm Tuesday through Saturday and Mondays and Sundays are 12pm-6pm. We were there right when they opened at 10am and played until 11:30am. Unfortunately I still didn’t get a good nap from my older two, but I’ll call it a win with all the exercise they got!
