Every year on March 14 (which happens to be Albert Einstein’s birthday🎉) geeks everywhere celebrate Pi Day in honor of the famous, never-ending number π (3.1415926..)! Since being declared an official holiday in 2009, the celebrations across the triangle have gotten bigger and better, usually involving some type of pie🥧! Pi Daze at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham

Join the Museum of Life and Science for a day of math and fun. Explore circles and irrational numbers by celebrating all the dimensions of Pi. Search for our hidden Pis across campus and solve math problems along the way. Take time to get lost in the beauty of the irrational infinite number and play with the shape that keeps us all going round! Our café will also serve some delicious Pi(e).
Pi Day at Pullen Park

In celebration of Pi Day, come to Pullen Park on March 14 from noon to 5 p.m. to learn about pi and numbers through a variety of fun activities. Enjoy crafts, games, a scavenger hunt and even a chance to “pi” a teacher in the face! Enter a hula hoop competition and a Pi memorization competition for a chance to win cool prizes. Pullen Community Center will be offering themed storytimes and fun crafts for all different ages. This event is for kids pre-K to 6th grade.

Pi Day at South Regional Library

Not only is it Pi day, but it’s also the 8th birthday of the Raspberry Pi mini computer! There are so many things you can do with a Raspberry Pi, such as write programs, make games, control sensors, and you can even make an arcade cabinet! So if you’re a maker, tinkerer, programmer, or DIY enthusiast, come check out crafts, projects, and activities celebrating the Raspberry Pi!
This event will be inside the Tech Mobile outside of South Regional Library.
Pi Day at The Coder School Raleigh

At theCoderSchool, they are going to use different kind of Pi – Raspberry Pi to celebrate Pi day. So here is the plan on Saturday from 11am-1pm:
