Don’t forget to utilize the free lunch program for kids this summer! Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is providing free meals (breakfast and lunch) to all kids under 18 through August 31st. 🥪

**Update: 2020 Meals have been extended to June 2021!**

The school system does this program every summer, but this year it looks a little different. You do not have to have the kids with you when you pick up lunch, and instead of eating it onsite it will be packaged for you to take home. I have also heard they will provide meals to anyone of any age that needs one, but I have not confirmed that.

I talked to the workers at one of the schools and they said their numbers have been dwindling since the program started in March. If they don’t have enough people come, then WCPSS will shut them down. These meals are free for all kids, whether you go to WCPSS or not. There’s no income requirement so everyone can take advantage of this great program!
