Did you know that kids under 12 can ride the bus for free around Raleigh? Teens age 13-18 can also fill out an application to get a Youth GoPass for free rides on buses around Wake, Durham, and Orange counties. Plus, starting this past August Seniors aged 65 and up can also ride the bus for free! (I’m feeling a little left out as a middle aged adult!)
In celebration of Grandparents Day on September 8th, GoTriangle has highlighted a list of spots to visit on the bus system on their website. Here’s a great opportunity to send the kids on an outing with the grandparents! They get free transportation on the buses and can visit some really neat locations, all while you enjoy some time doing something alone! 😂
The hot spots listed this weekend include the Kids Expo at the fairgrounds, the Read and Ride series on the Raleigh Trolley, story time at Quail Ridge Books, the art museum, and City Market Honey Fest! See our Raleigh Tot Spots calendar for more events happening this weekend!
You can also print out this coloring book courtesy of GoTriangle if your kids need something more to occupy them than just looking out the windows. Enjoy the ride!
