If you’re looking for a quiet green space in downtown Wake Forest, try H. L. Miller Park! This hidden park is a small city block covered by trees. In fact, I had driven past it many times but didn’t actually realize it was a park! But it’s the perfect place to hangout in the summer since it’s nice and cool under all that green foliage!

There’s only a short walking path, but there are a few bridges over a small creek so you can enjoy the water trickling beneath your feet.

My kids enjoyed the one porch swing in the middle of the park. Our whole family of 5 was able to sit together and swing, which is rare!

The small stadium seating area would make a great spot for a homeschool group to gather and listen to a presentation outdoors! I’m betting the nearby school walks down here for lessons, or at least if I was a teacher I would totally do that!

While you’re in the area, walk over to Lumpy’s to grab a cool ice cream treat! You’re also right next to the Wake Forest Farmer’s market and the Renaissance Center!
