**The Harper Park playground has been demolished in preparation for a brand new inclusive playground coming July 2022!!**
I feel like most people in the triangle know about Knightdale Station Park, especially because of the awesome splash pad! But don’t forget the smaller, older, and lesser-known park in Knightdale — Harper Park.
Playground
Harper Park is a small park in the heart of Knightdale. It has a sand surface with one playground structure, plus a zip line and a few spring bouncers.
For kids who love to swing, there are also 2 regular swings and 2 bucket swings for the babies. There’s also a great picnic shelter nearby, which would be perfect for events like birthday parties!
Gazebo at Harper Park
My favorite is the grassy area next to the playground, which contains a beautiful gazebo and lots of space to explore. The area is not fenced in though, so watch out if you have a runner!
New in 2020, Harper Park has undergone some renovations and now includes four Tennis courts and two new Pickleball courts. It’s also the home of the Knightdale Parks and Recreation Department and a Knightdale Police Substation.
