Jones Park is a 24 acre park located behind Holly Springs elementary school, which is a summer meal location for 2020. Park amenities include two playgrounds, a little free library, baseball field, disc golf course, and a small pond for fishing!
We didn’t actually see the fishing pond while we were at Jones Park, but the park website shows it is behind the baseball field on your right. My kids did immediately notice the Little Free Library, and we enjoyed picking out a few books for the drive home! We also stared longingly at the playground since it was still closed due to Covid-19.
Playground and Little Free Library
The playground has a grass surface and was the older style metal playground. It was not fenced in, but set back from the parking lot a little bit. It was surrounded by trees, but did not get much shade, so when you visit come prepared with sunscreen!
Disc Golf Course
We saw many families enjoying the disc golf course at Jones Park. It’s becoming a popular outdoor pastime during the pandemic! The course has 18 holes and is an advanced level course. There are tightly wooded holes mixed in with a few open shots; all with solid distance. Water comes in to play more than once, so bring more than one disc!
Baseball Field
We saw a family enjoying the baseball field while we were there, so I believe it is open. Bring your own equipment, or just let the kids enjoy running around a fenced in area!
