Little Doodles Play Cafe is the new and improved version of Snickerdoodles! Snickerdoodles closed and reopened in a new location by the Walmart on Glenwood and changed their name to Little Doodles. I’m not sure if they underwent any change of management, but I feel like with a business name change that’s usually the case. Luckily, it’s still the great indoor play space we all know and love!
Inside the Play Area
Since they reopened right before the pandemic hit, I hadn’t seen the new play space before they had to close. I figured some of you hadn’t either so I snapped a few pics for inquiring minds. The space is long and skinny with seating on one side and a play area on the other. This separation will come in handy once the space reopens for open play.
Day Camp
Little Doodles is currently closed for open play due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they are open for drop-off day camp! At only $30 for childcare from 9am-12pm, I consider it a great deal! I’ve been stuck with my kids non-stop for the past 3 months, so it was great for all of us to get a little break. They have lots of safety measures in place, like taking temperatures at the door, so you can feel confident when you drop your kids off.
When I picked my girls up from camp they told me all about how much fun they had! They had story and music time, a fossil dig with treasures, and they painted pictures to take home.
One interesting pandemic side-effect that I was worried about, the teacher let me know at pick up that my kids really only played with their siblings and not the other kids. I think this is something most families with multiple kids might experience since our kids have really only played with each other for 3 months! Unfortunately, I guess that just means I’ll have to drop them off for more day camp sessions so they can learn to socialize again! I mean, I guess I can make that sacrifice! 😂
