I visited this playground after a run from the Sertoma Art center, if you are interested in that, check it out here.
It is important to note, I visited this playground mid-march and the bathrooms were closed for the winter. Not sure when they re-open. So that may be a major drawback for some of you, especially those in the midst of potty training. This playground had a good bit of morning shade, so perhaps better during the warmer months anyway.
So here’s a couple of pics to give you a visual:
As you can see it is a mulch surface with a pretty nice sand area with 3 diggers. There are 2 pretty big “tube slides” as my daughter would say. The nice thing about this playground is that you don’t have the high, scary drop offs that some of the other playgrounds have (Millbrook Exchange Park for instance).
But at the end of the day this playground is just OK. I like that it does NOT have swings. My kids had a great time, even though it was barely 50 degrees. There is an area of a few picnic tables for a snack or lunch break. So if you are in the area, check it out. Especially during the blistering heat of the summer, when you need a shaded place. I would not recommend going out of your way for this park though.
