I am having a hard time writing this review. I like to be positive. BUT, I have been here twice now and it is probably my least favorite in North Raleigh. I don’t expect we will be back anytime soon.
Let’s see what you think about it, perhaps I am missing something.
The playgrounds do have some tree shade, so it may be a decent summer option.
Pretty big sand area with a sun cover, which is nice during the summer. Although the sun cover is quite small.
The rest of the toddler area is 2 slides. A rubberized surface, but it is covered with sand which makes it kind of slick. My kids slide down the surface instead of the slide.
It’s not all that impressive.
The older children’s area is fairly nice, there is also a section with a couple of belt and a couple of bucket swings. Both my kiddo’s enjoyed this part of the playground.
The playground itself is a little disjointed. Let me explain. Have you been to the Kids Together playground in Cary? Awesome, right? Especially the dragon. But if you are trying to keep up with 2 kids it’s hard. Same thing here. You can’t watch 2 different kids in 2 different play spaces, as your vision is blocked. My kids don’t stay in the same play space. They are constantly going in opposite directions.
The playground is partially fenced in, between playground and parking lot.
This is my least favorite part of the playground. No bathrooms…just a porta potty?? No!!!!!
I can’t handle a no bathroom playground. Not with a potty trained child.
I should mention there are a couple of small ponds and short nature trails which are easy starter hikes for little feet.
Pros:
- Meh. Not bad if you are close I suppose.
- Ponds and nature trails, if you are looking for that sort of thing
- Decent sandbox
Cons:
- NO BATHROOMS
- Unless you toddler is playing in sand or comfortable with the older kid equipment, there’s not too much else to choose from.
Have you been?? Let me know what you think!
