We hadn’t been to Crabtree Valley Mall in a LONG time, but hubby and I recently made a visit during date night after dinner at Brio Italian Grill. We headed straight to Brookstone for a chair massage (don’t lie, you’ve taken advantage of those chairs before!), but to our surprise there was an awesome toy store called Tic Tac Toys in it’s place! Like every parent on date night, we ended up thinking of our kids and browsing the toys for fun surprises to bring home to them. 😂 My personal favorites were the wall of science activities and the extensive collection of family board games. They also had a huge selection of Melissa and Doug wooden toys geared towards younger kids. You’ll definitely want to check this place out for your next toy purchase!

Tic Tac Toys is a local small business, similar to Learning Express, but they currently only have one location at Crabtree Valley Mall. The store didn’t have a lot of hands-on displays, but the selection was a lot more extensive than what you will find at Walmart or Target. I enjoyed finding new toys, and the educational kits would be fun to do at home during this time of remote learning. You could also grab a puzzle to take with you on your upcoming spring break trip! For folks closer to Durham / Chapel Hill, they’ve got a location there too in the Southpoint Mall. (I believe it’s the original store and they opened the Crabtree one later.) One of the best toy stores I’ve ever visited!
